What was the overall creative inspiration for your wedding? 
Glowing candles, flowers and greenery, and sweet, sentimental moments. We wanted our special day to be elegant, beautiful,and fun.

What was your color palette? 
Navy blue, burgundy, and gold.

What was the significance of your wedding date and/or location?
We met in La Crosse and knew that we wanted to get married near the area. We have large families and knew we needed a large venue. Maple Grove Venues was a perfect fit for what we needed. It was elegant, spacious, and on a beautiful piece of land with an outdoor patio area for fun and games.

What was your favorite moment in your ceremony and reception?
My favorite moment from the reception was looking out in the crowd during our meal and seeing the vast number of people who have touched our lives in some way. It was surreal recognizing that we will always have support from all these wonderful people as we continue our journey together as husband and wife. I’ve never felt so lucky as I did in that moment.

Would you change anything if you could do it over again? If so, what?
I would try to be more present in the moment. I wouldn’t be worried about the cake getting cut or the little things that really didn’t matter. I would tell myself to just enjoy every moment, because you can’t go back.

What advice do you have for other couples planning their weddings?
Enjoy every moment. Don’t worry about the small things. Remember that the most important thing about your wedding day is that you are marrying the love of your life, and that is what matters. Spend some time alone with your husband/wife at some point in the day and just be together.
