WHAT WAS THE CREATIVE INSPIRATION FOR YOUR WEDDING?
Elegant and timeless.

WHAT WAS YOUR COLOR PALETTE?
Blue-gray with cream flowers and lots of greenery.

HOW DID YOU PERSONALIZE YOUR WEDDING AND MAKE IT ABOUT THE TWO OF YOU?
It was very important to Cole that he and his groomsmen wear their Army Service uniforms. I am so glad we were able to incorporate such a huge part of my husband’s life into our big day.

WHAT WAS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF YOUR WEDDING DATE AND/OR LOCATION?
We wanted to get married in La Crosse because we made so many great memories in La Crosse during the first few years of our relationship. Our first date included some of the best La Crosse has to offer: a bluff hike and The Pearl. It just seemed right to get married in this town.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT IN YOUR CEREMONY AND WEDDING RECEPTION?
My favorite moment was when I walked into the reception holding my husband’s hand and saw all our loved ones there to support us.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY?
I would have started writing my thank-yous earlier. It takes a long time to hand-write that many personalized thank-you cards! Don’t put it off. People appreciate receiving them.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WERE GLAD YOU INSISTED ON?
I am so glad I insisted on finding a photographer who felt more like a lifelong friend than just a stranger there to take some pictures. She made things so fun and easy for not only myself, but my husband, too. We are extremely thankful that we have so many great pictures to look back on for years to come.

IF YOU COULD TELL COUPLES PLANNING THEIR WEDDING ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Take some time during the day to step away, just the two of you, and take it all in. The day goes by way too fast.

WHAT DID YOU OBSESS OVER THAT YOU REALIZED IN THE END DIDN’T MATTER?
The centerpieces.
